PHILADELPHIA – The “grand master of erotic filmmaking” is back on HotMovies.com, just in time to celebrate his birthday on Feb. 26.

Few directors have made the impact of Cecil Howard throughout the history of the adult movie business, and few movies made the impact of Howard’s epic four-hour saga, Last X-Rated Movie. Now for the first time, this landmark film will be available on the internet in its entirety, exclusively at HotMovies.com.

As was typical of all Howard’s work, Last X-Rated Movie received huge acclaim when originally released in four parts during the 1980s and early 1990s. The first two parts each garnered AVN’s highest rating and the magazine named the saga “the best multi-part adult series ever shot on video.”

In the golden age of porn, before compilations became the order of the day, this was the longest adult movie ever released. It was condensed, re-edited and repackaged by Howard in 1991 into the definitive four-hour director’s cut on VHS, exclusively for the Penthouse Book and Video Society. The re-release again earned AVN’s highest rating and prompting another critic to name it “the best X-rated movie of all time.”

Eric Edwards won AVN’s Best Actor award and Nina Hartley took home AVN’s Best Supporting Actress trophy for the original production, which featured an unmatched collection of golden era talent including hall of famers Ron Jeremy, Tom Byron, Tasha Voux and Sharon Mitchell.

In the past, Howard’s HotMovies releases have hit the site as special, one-month-only releases. Not this time. Howard said he wants fans to have the opportunity to view this masterpiece, cut as he originally intended it, for eternity. “This is a grand opus and I encourage people to take the time to watch the whole thing,” said the elusive Howard. “The story is the thing that sets it apart from other porn movies and the sex is some of the hottest I ever shot.”

“As always,” said HotMovies director of business development James Cybert, “we are grateful for this partnership with Cecil. We take great pride in carrying the biggest library of porn available anywhere but quality means more than quantity and Cecil’s movies are the cream of the crop. The Last X-Rated Movie is the best of the best and I can’t wait to hear the reaction from our viewers.”

HotMovies remains the one and only licensed distributor for Howard’s work, including multiple award winners Neon Nights, Babylon Pink, Foxtrot, Star Angel and Platinum Paradise.

Getting the picture? “The Haunted Trailer” has the potential to be a hilarious rampage through hillbilly stereotypes, and by chucking in the 2012 apocalypse theories with Ron as the baddie, it’s bound to keep fans buzzing.

The script for the film calls for Ron to be a demon who is haunting a trailer. In Bubbaville, they can tolerate opposums in the garbage, drunken fistfights between married couples, and the occasional bowling ball tossed through a window after a theological argument about whether you’d want to do Kim or Khloe Kardashian. But they don’t tolerate demons – especially demons sent up from South of the border.

Ron’s up against the special forces of the hillbilly army. It’s an interesting crew.

• Momma is the leader of the clan (isn’t she always?).
• Brothers Elvis and Aaron are called in for re-inforcements.
• Sister Prissy is ready to kick demon butt.
• And all bubbas know you need a televangelist like Reverend Wiggems if you’re raising hell.

You can use your imagination from there, but the picture is clear. It’s Ron versus rednecks.

Ron Jeremy is a perfect match for this film.

Ron loves to have fun. He likes what he does and it shows. And he has the experience to make this demon a unique character in a funny movie. Will Ron bring down the curtains on humanity, or will the bubbas save the day?

You can find out later this year. “The Haunted Trailer” is scheduled for release before the holidays – hopefully before December 21st, just in case the Mayans were right!

This discussion was based on the AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s initiative to enforce condom use during the filming of adult movies.  The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) laid down the law in 2004 requiring condom use in porn, but it hasn’t exactly been enforced.  The Foundation aims to tighten up ship and make sure men are wrapping it up.  Porn stars like Ron and Nina Hartley are willing, but don’t think it’s what the viewers want.
